Welcome to the port of Korsoer – The Heart of Denmark

The seaside market town, with its charming old quarters, is beautifully located on the coast of the southwest corner of Zealand, next to the Great Belt Bridge. The town was established at this spot due to the favourable location and proximity to the island of Funen.

Visit the old quarter with its charming houses and streets with cobblestones, the fortress, the culture centre for music and visual art and the "Biograf Teater" which opened in August 1908 and is the world's oldest movie theatre still in operation.

Korsør was officially founded on 26 November 1425 the date when the town was granted its borough and market privileges. The seaside town has a long stretch of coast with much to offer nature lovers; a haven for activities such as swimming, rowing, diving, surfing, angling, sailing and golf. The town boasts one of the most beautiful golf courses in Denmark.
